imaginable, the grief one experiences when they lose a child. The kind of grief no parent
wants to imagine. This is a 63 page book of poems that will take you through the
devastating emotions one feels after the loss of a child. If you happen upon this book
because you have lost a child my heart goes out to you. If you are grieving the loss of a
child you may feel like you are losing your mind, and you may fear you will never regain it
again. You may find all your days pass by you in a blur. You may feel you just cannot
go on anymore. The simple will become difficult for you, getting up, getting dressed,
just going through the ordinary routines of a day will be extremely hard. You will find
yourself weeping and weeping and weeping. You will wonder why life still carries on all
around you when your life and your childs life has been stopped. Your heart will be broken.
You will probably think of suicide often. You will wonder why you are still here, when your
child is not. You will search for an answer to why, and no answer will come. Your whole
outlook upon life will be drastically altered, it will be aged with reality and tears. You will
feel totally alone as you grieve the biggest loss you will ever encounter. There will be no
words that can comfort you or mend your broken heart.
Please believe me when I say, you are not alone. There are some who do understand.
Only another who has lost a child will be able to know what you are going through. Since
my daughters death I have never been the same. I wrote this book to preserve my
daughters memory who tragically passed away in an automobile accident on Highway 401
on September 25, 1999. I also wrote this book in the hopes it may help others who lose
children by letting them know they are not alone as they are thrown into this, the longest
loneliest journey they will ever be forced to take. The journey of grieving the ultimate
tragedy ---- the loss of a child.
